In today’s fast food society, it is no wonder that diet is such an extreme issue. It is almost impossible for anybody to maintain a healthy diet now-a-days. Health organizations estimate that only 10-20% even consume the recommended amounts of the most important vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. This is a startling low number and simply results from the fact that a healthy diet is very hard to maintain.

In order to be able to maintain a healthy body and in order to be able to have clear, healthy, acne free skin, it is important to consume the recommended amount of many crucial vitamins and minerals on a daily basis. However, diet alone often falls short of this. Fast foods don’t contain many vitamins and minerals in the first place, people usually don’t have time to try and prepare full, healthy, rounded meals, and even the foods purchased in stores now have many of their vitamins and minerals taken out of them in order to help them stay fresh longer.

For these reasons, it is often necessary to look elsewhere in order to get the right amounts of vitamins and minerals each day. Foods and diet will almost always still lead to some short of deficiency, no matter how careful one tries to be, and therefore it become necessary often times to look to supplements in order to fill the gap. Supplements can be extremely helpful in ensuring the body receives the vitamins and minerals it needs to be healthy.

Supplements are not a bad thing and are not some sort of “short cut.” Many people think they are cheating themselves by taking a vitamin supplement but this simply isn’t so. Most one-a-day vitamin supplements are extremely useful for the simple fact that they will help to provide the body with the essential vitamins and minerals it needs. People also worry about then consuming too much of certain vitamins and minerals due to the combination of the supplement and eating. Again, this is almost never a problem since the supplements only provide the minimum recommended amounts each day, meaning that there is plenty of ceiling room left above that.

When foods and dieting simply aren’t cutting it, it is good to look for a vitamin supplement. Your body needs the vitamins and minerals and to deprive it of them would be extremely unhealthy.
Our society today can often be very overwhelming and it is important to make your anxiety is in check as well as any other issues that you may have going on at the time. Anxiety is felt by everyone at some time in their life, like when giving a speech or going on a job interview. For people with severe anxiety, it is much worse and is felt on a constant basis. People with anxiety issues often experience some or all of the following symptoms: extreme fear, abnormal phobias, heart palpitations, panic attacks, shyness and obsessive behaviors. Therapy, medication, and relaxation exercises can all provide relief of anxiety symptoms and when used together the results are even better.

Therapy is usually the first step used in relieving anxiety issues. A therapist can help you to discover the underlying causes of your anxiety and can suggest the best ways to help you get through it. Some techniques that are used to help relieve a person’s anxiety often include cognitive or behavioral therapy. Cognitive therapy is when you are taught to use different ways of thinking when you are in a situation that may cause anxiety. By reprogramming your thought processes you can decrease your anxiety at the time, by telling yourself more positive things when anxiety is felt. Behavioral therapy is when you are constantly confronted with the anxiety filled situation until your start to feel more comfortable. Taken in baby steps the therapist will talk you through the process as they slowly get you to come to terms with the situations that cause you anxiety, and it goes away.

Medications are also very commonly used to decrease a person’s anxiety. Under the supervision of your therapist a medication may be prescribed that can help elevate anxiety temporarily. Some of the medications include: SSRI’s like Lexapro, Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, or Luvox, MOAIs like Parnate or Nordil, and TCAs like Tofranil, Adapin, Vivactil, Anafranil, Surmotil, Elavil, Sinequan, Endep, Norpramin or Ludiomil. If you do choose to use medication to treat your anxiety, it is best to do so under the strict supervision of your physician because many of these medications have side effects and all have to be prescribed.

Relaxation exercises can also help to elevate anxiety. Panic attacks caused by heightened anxiety can be calmed by deep breathing exercises. Mediation has been known to relieve anxiety symptoms before a situation that might trigger it, by having a relaxing effect on the person. Yoga and other exercise programs have also been shown to relieve anxiety somewhat. Since the endorphins released during the exercise can have a calming effect on the person, anxiety is often reduced.

Many people suffer every day from anxiety problems or panic attacks that can stop them from leading a normal life. If you feel that you have a problem with anxiety or panic attacks therapy, medication, or relaxation exercises can prove to be very effective in treating your problem. The symptoms of anxiety can constantly rule a person’s life and if they become serious it is very important to seek out professional help for your mental health.
Article Body:
Rhinoplasty, commonly called a nose job, is a type of cosmetic surgery designed to repair or reshape the nose. As one of the most prominent features on your face, your nose has a large bearing on your appearance and can impact how you feel about yourself. Individuals who are displeased with the size or shape of the nose can benefit from rhinoplasty because of the opportunity it offers to completely alter the appearance of the nose. Rhinoplasty has the ability to increase or reduce the size of the nose in its entirety, removing a bump, altering the shape of the bridge or the tip of your nose, narrowing the nostril openings, and modifying the angle between your nose and your lips.

Rhinoplasty cannot be successfully performed until the nose has stabilized and nasal bone has stopped growing. This typically occurs around age 14 to 15 in girls and age 15 to 16 in boys. Any surgery performed before this point runs the risk of having to be redone once nasal growth has ceased, since the nose has the potential to continue to change and develop until that point. Rhinoplasty is occasionally performed on younger children in the case of severe trauma to the face, so that the nose can be restored as close as possible to its original shape and size.

Most rhinoplasty procedures are performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. There are exceptions to this rule, though. Patients undergoing severe reconstructive surgery may be monitored overnight to ensure that no complications arise. Individuals seeking to have their nose “set” after a bad break will occasionally receive local anesthetic only.

During the procedure the cosmetic surgeon makes an incision either inside the nostrils or through the columella, the external strip of tissue that separates the nostrils. The skin is then separated away from the framework of the nose itself so the doctor can access the underlying cartilage. In order to reshape the nose, the soft flexible cartilage and bone are manipulated into the proper position and shape. Depending on the desired results, tissue may be removed or added to change the angle or contour of the nose. A chisel or file may be used during the procedure, most frequently to remove a hump from the bridge of the nose. Once the nose has been sculpted into the desired shape, the skin is resituated and the nose is splinted to protect it. Nasal pads may be used for the first few days following the surgery to pack the nose and protect the delicate septum.

Rhinoplasty, as with all other surgeries, is not risk-free. In addition to the standard bruising and swelling, patients should be aware of a number of potential side-effects that could result from the procedure. These include an infection of the nose, nosebleeds, numbness, scarring, and a reaction to the anesthesia. Some patients report the bursting of small blood vessels on the surface of the skin and hematomas, or collections of blood that pool under the skin. The possibility also exists that a follow-up procedure will be necessary in order to remedy an over-correction or under-correction of the nose.

When successfully performed by a highly-qualified surgeon, rhinoplasty can dramatically improve the appearance of your nose and improve your self-confidence. If you are considering rhinoplasty and would like more information about this procedure, contact a reputable cosmetic surgeon in your area and arrange for a personal consultation.
The spine has many vertabrae and spondylolisthesis is a degeneration of a articulating (exterior) part of the vertabrae that reduces its integrity, strength, support and flexibility. The articulating part that is affected is in the rear of the vertabrae and tends to be located in L5 or L4 of the lumbar (lower back). It can range from a rating of 1-5, 5 being the most severe and 1 the least.

Spondylolisthesis affects athletes in sports that require a wide range of movement and flexability. Adolescents may have this condition and not exhibit any symptoms. Whether the condition is a rating of 1 or 5, the patient may exhibit extreme discomfort, lack of mobility, even loss of sensation in an extremity (usually the left leg).

In cases of high levels of discomfort spinal fusion is the best course of treatment. Usually the lower vertebrae is fused to the affected vertabrae (ie. L4 and L5 are the most common to be fused) and held in place with titanium screws and either rods or a plate. The surgery can take 4 hours and is a very painful experience. The spinal fusion can take 6-12 months for recovery. The pain associated with the 1st month of recovery is quite extreme and will require mobility assistance, physical therapy and the use of a walker. It is important to note that no surgical procedure is 100% successful in releaving all of the patients symptoms. This fusion procedure is documented to have an 80% success rate in alleviating all of the patients complaints and symptoms. At these levels most patients and their doctors concur that spinal fusion is the best option and the prognosis is relatively good. If you are considering a spinal fusion or have Spondylolisthesis seek the advice of a orthopedic surgeon.

Spondylolisthesis can cause great discomfort and tends to be brought on by physical accidents – falls, automotive accidents, etc… It can be a preexisting condition but is usually worsened due to the physical accident. Spinal fusion, therapy, and special exercises along with changes in routine can help to alleviate this condition. Spondylolisthesis can be cured and/or treated – early treatment is the key as it can lead to bone degeneration and loss of sensation when left untreated.
In recent years carbohydrates have been studied minutely, giving rise to a whole new terminology Glycobiology. This is in fact the study of how carbohydrates affect our health. Scientists used to consider carbohydrates as foods that were not very necessary to the body but now due to Glycobiology they have discovered some surprising facts about carbohydrate saccarides known as Glyconutrients.

There are 8 essential saccarides necessary to our health that are being researched and are known as Glyconutrients. They are:

? Mannose

? Glucose

? Galactose

? Xylose

? Fuctos (not fructose)

? N-acetylglucosamine

? N-acetylneuramic acid

? N-acetylgalactosamine

What has Glycobiology discovered? Through research science has disvovered vital molecules in our bodies that have a critical effect on our health. Exactly what are glyconutrients?

With the aid of the electron microscope scientists found trillions of tiny fibers sticking to the cell surfaces. They discovered on looking more closely that these little appendages were in fact sugar molecules called glyconutrients.

Scientists found that the function of these glyconutrients is to stimulate activity and produce enzymes which:

1. Act as blocking agents: To stop toxins from entering cells.

2. Suppressing agents: That help stop malignant changes in cells.

3. Glyconutrients help the body’s cells to communicate with each other.

4. They strengthen the immune system

Due to environmental problems like green harvests and processing of foods the natural sources of Glyconutrients has been seriously reduced. This has led to depletion in our diets. If any of these vital Glyconutrients are missing the immune system starts to fail and weaken giving rise to disease and infections attacking the body. This results in our deteriorating health.

The study of Glycobiology has developed important supplements made up of these Glyconutrients, which when taken increase the Glyconutrients in our bodies. With these supplements our bodies can heal and strengthen our immune systems. This helps to reverse the spiral of ill health and restore the body’s natural immunity to disease and infection. They also help our bodies against toxins found in the air and soil by preventing thm from penetrating our cells.

At first the study of Glycobiology was not taken very seriously but now major universities have become involved in Glycobiology studies and research. Also in USA, Canada, Europe and Japan over 30 biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies are now doing research into Glyconutrients. A product of Glycobiology research has been Ambrotose. Now more over 20,000 research papers on Glycobiology have been published in just one year, making Glycobiology a serious and growing area of research.

Note: Glyconutrients are not intended to heal, treat, or cure any disease.
A mangosteen is an edible fruit but many people have never seen or tasted a mangosteen. The mangosteen should not be confused with the mango you’ve probably seen in your grocery store and may even enjoy regularly. They are completely different fruits and are in no way related.

The mangosteen fruit currently only grows in Southeast Asia although attempts are being made to cultivate and grow it in other tropical climates. It’s a small fruit, about the same size as a tangerine. The skin of the fruit is a dark reddish/purplish color. The edible fruit inside is pure white and is said to be very sweet and delicious. But because the fruit is highly perishable and because it doesn’t continue to ripen after being picked, it’s not available as a fresh fruit in the United States, nor in many other countries in the world. But in southeast Asia where the mangosteen is widely available during harvest time, it is a prized fruit and is called the “Queen of Fruits.” It’s also the most expensive fruit at the markets in Southeast Asia. And because it is so highly demanded and highly prized, you’ll never see any fruits lying on the ground under the trees (http://www.mangosteenzone.com/mangosteentree). None of the fruit is wasted.

The reason why the mangosteen is generating so much interest in the Western parts of the world lately is because of the rind, or pericarp, of the mangosteen. The rind of the mangosteen has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries, and in some cases thousands of years, to effectively and naturally treat numerous ailments and conditions. It’s commonly used to treat conditions such as: dysentery, various infections, eczema, diarrhea, urinary disorders; and for nearly any ailment between a person’s neck and waist.

Xanthones, a type of anti-oxidant have been discovered in the mangosteen although it’s not a new discovery; just one that’s not been noticed much in Western parts of the world. To read some of the research that’s been done on the mangosteen and on xanthones go to http://www.pubmed.org and type in “xanthones” or “mangosteen.”

Although the medicinal benefits of the mangosteen and the xanthones contained in it have not been officially evaluated by the FDA in the United States, juices and other products containing the mangosteen are gaining popularity and are being taken by many people as a supplement to enhance their health and well-being.

One of the reasons more and more people feel mangosteen supplements are beneficial is because much of the research that’s been done on the xanthones contained in the mangosteen suggests that the xanthones contain very potent antioxidant properties that may strengthen the immune system; neutralize free radicals in the body; help with intestinal health; and give a person more energy; plus there have been numerous testimonial from people who feel taking a mangosteen supplement has helped them regain health when they were dealing with serious illnesses such as cancer.

I have been taking a mangosteen supplement for a little over a year. I started taking the supplement because I wanted to enhance my health and feeling of well-being. I do feel better since I started taking it. I have more energy; get fewer headaches than I used to; and catch fewer colds.

Homeopathy is a safe, natural form of medicine, based on the practice of treating like with like. Homeopathy is derived from the Greek words homios, meaning like or similar, and italios, meaning suffering.

Homeopathy is concerned with treating the whole person rather than the illness alone. The homeopath will consider the patient as a whole, both physically and psychologically, taking into account the patient’s physical appearance, their likes, dislikes and their temperament. It is there fore a highly personalized form of treatment, so patients who apparently suffer from the same ill ness may be given advice for different medicines.

Homeopathy is a well established form of healing. Today many of the leading pharmaceutical companies are researching and mass-producing homeopathic medicines.

Homeopathic Medicines

Homeopathic medicines look very much like conventional medicines, are taken in the same way, but the way they work is entirely different.

The medicines are not synthetic and are derived from natural sources. Over 60% of homeopathic remedies are prepared from vegetable or plant materials. Other remedies are prepared from naturally occurring mineral substances, including metals, non-metallic substances, and mineral salts. Animal sources of homeopathic remedies include: Cuttlefish (the ink or juice provides sepia) and Honeybee.

Homeopathic medicines are prepared by obtaining the remedy in its most concentrated form, and then, through a long process of dilution, by preparing a medicine whose potency is sufficient to effect a treatment. The potency describes the measure of the dilution of the remedy and is denoted by the number which follows the name of the medicine itself. The higher the number, the greater the dilution (up to one part remedy to one trillion parts dilutant).

Homeopathic Medicines

Homeopathic medicines, commonly referred to as remedies, may come from the plant, mineral, or animal kingdom. Some common remedies include: arnica montana, from the Leopard’s bane plant; belladonna, from the deadly nightshade plant; calcarea, calcium carbonate from oyster shells; sepia, from cuttlefish ink; and the element, sulphur.

Homeopathic remedies today are produced using the same dilution principles as in Hahnemann’s day. In a common dilution of 1:100, one drop of the homeopathic substance is added to 99 drops of water and/or alcohol. The mixture is then potentized by a process called “succussion” – repeated tapping on a hard surface for a specific length of time. Remedies may be diluted up to 1000 times, leaving only an infinitesimal trace of the substance. Remedies are typically diluted 10, 100, or 1,000 times, which translate into potencies that are marked with the Roman numerals X, C, and M. Homeopathic remedies range from 6X as the lowest potency to 1M or more as the highest potency.

Remedies can be taken orally in pill, powder, or drop form, rubbed topically, or injected. There are usually no side effects from homeopathic treatments, but a patient can experience what is called a “healing aggravation,” a temporary accentuation of symptoms. This is seen as a positive sign that the remedy is working. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, a homeopath may choose an antidote, which produces the opposite effect of the remedy. The antidote may be another homeopathic remedy, or a strong substance, such as perfume, camphor, or coffee, which are known to block the effects of a remedy.

In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recognized homeopathic medicines as drugs since 1938, working with the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention to produce and update their reference book of homeopathic medicines. Over the years, the FDA has classified homeopathic medicines as either prescription or more commonly as non-prescription (over-the-counter), depending on their strength. In the United Kingdom, homeopathic medicine has been part of the National Health Service (NHS) since it began in 1948. There are currently 5 homeopathic hospitals in the NHS. Homeopathic medicines are available over-the-counter or by prescription.

Safety of Homeopathic Medicines

Because of the very, very small doses used in homeopathic treatment, the medicines are completely safe, non-addictive and have no unwanted side effects. The curative properties of the remedies are released even in extremely high dilution?and render the medicine completely safe for the treatment of both children and babies.

Always consult a practitioner before buying homeopathic remedies, and make sure that they are kept safe and out of the reach of all children.

Where dosing instructions have been followed, no case of toxic action has ever been reported in association with homeopathic medicines.

Receiving Homeopathic Treatment

Homeopathic treatment is practiced by fully qualified Health Practitioners who understand the philosophy of homeopathic medicine’s well as patients’ emotional and daily situations.

While some homeopathic medicines are readily available in both regular pharmacies and health stores, you MUST consult your homeopathic practitioner before attempting treatment for any serious ailment or illness.

If you are currently on medication for a serious medical or psychological condition, you should NOT stop taking your medication in order to start homeopathic treatment. Your practitioner will advise you on the best course of treatment, often working with your internist or therapist.
Yellow teeth or cavities in your teeth may not be such an appealing thing if you happen to smile to a person; you have met for the first time. It may be considered bad oral hygiene than anything else. With the arrival of new toothpaste which only claim to drive away all your cavities with no results. Many happen to go to the dentist to get this rectified which may cost a bomb and this can be avoided if go to the root of the problem.

It can be stated as one of the most common problems affecting people nowadays. The yellowing of ones teeth can be sign of lack of dental hygiene. This dental plaque is caused mainly due to the yellowish biofilm which are formed on the teeth. If it is not cleaned properly everyday it can lead to other teeth problems like cavities and inflammation of gums.

Some of the common reasons which we can identify for having yellow teeth is excessive consumption of coffee, tea. Smoking and consumption of foods can deteriorate your teeth. The food which we eat and don’t even bother to clean them after eating is one of the major causes of such problem.

Not following the hot and cold cycles which contracts and expands when you eat or drink something cold or hot. This expansion and contraction helps to cause stains as it gets through the teeth. Foods which are very acidic also create stains and yellowing of the teeth.

With the increasing age we tend to lack the same ability to fight the cavities and other bacterial attacks on our teeth. The routine oral hygiene also gets affected due to increasing age. As the stain remains on our teeth with less dental hygiene it tends to get much darker and very hard to remove.

Some of the common remedies which we can use to avoid yellow stains are:

-A good oral hygiene
-Rinsing after every meal
-Polishing it, by use of baking soda
-Bleaching it, by use of natures very own bleach – lime
-Flossing your teeth regularly
-Avoiding starch and sugar
-Switch to vegetable which will help your teeth
-A mixture of salt and finely powdered rind of lime can be used as an excellent toothpaste
-Drink plenty of water
-Avoid tobacco
-Avoid smoking
-Chewing sugar-free gums helps
-Adding a drop of clove oil to your toothpaste before brushing your teeth can do wonders to your teeth

Before acting upon these remedies please check if you are allergic to any of these food products to avoid further complication. The site or the writer is not responsible for the decisions taken by the reader.
Yasmin is a low-dose birth control pill. It uses a combination of two hormones ? progesterone and estrogen ? to prevent pregnancy. Specifically, Yasmin uses Drospirenone (a form of progesterone) and ethinyl estradiol (a form of estrogen). Yasmin prevents pregnancy in two ways. First, when combined, the two hormones prevent the ovary from releasing an egg. Secondly, in the very unlikely event that you do ovulate, Yasmin has the effect of thickening the uterus lining. This lessens the chances of the sperm ever reaching the egg and fertilizing it.

As with any other birth control pill, the main problem with Yasmin is that you have to be very conscientious about taking it. You need to set a regular time to take the pill so as to maximize its effectiveness and to help you develop the habit of taking it. Missing pills may have dire consequences, depending on the number of pills missed and the week you missed it.

You should also talk to your doctor if you are taking other medication, especially antibiotics. Some antibiotics are known to interfere with the Pill’s effectiveness. I am sure you wouldn’t want to get pregnant just because of an oversight.

Compared to other birth control pills available in the market, Yasmin is a bit pricey. However, I like the fact that it is not supposed to make you gain as much weight as the other pills. In fact, that was my main reason when I chose to use this pill.

Another reason I like Yasmin is that it seems to have helped my acne problem. Ever since I started using it, I haven’t had the major breakouts that I usually experience.

It is not without side effects, though. During the first couple of months that I used it, I had really bad stomach cramps. It was very inconvenient as I couldn’t control the pain and the urge to go to the wash room. Around the third month I think my body got used to it and the stomach cramps went away. Other slight side effects are nausea, migraine headaches, and breast tenderness. Doctors encourage smokers to quit ? or at least lessen ? smoking when on the pill. So far, I haven’t had any negative experiences regarding this even though I did cut back on smoking.

I would recommend Yasmin to anyone who wants to get on the pill. It claims to be 99% effective in preventing pregnancy and so far, I can guarantee it works.
Article Body:
Refractive eye surgery is a type of eye surgery that is used to rectify refractive errors of the eye and decrease dependency on corrective lenses such as eyeglasses and contact lenses. Successful refractive procedures can reduce myopia or nearsightedness, hyperopia or farsightedness, and astigmatism or elongated corneas. A number of different procedures exist for refractive eye surgery depending upon the type and severity of the refractive error.

There are four main types of refractive eye surgery procedures: flap and photoablation procedures; corneal incision procedures; thermal procedures; and implants. Currently, the most common refractive eye surgeries involve the use of lasers to reshape the cornea.

Flap procedures involve cutting a small flap in the cornea so that the tissue underneath can be reshaped to correct the refractive error. LASIK, short for Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis, is the most popular refractive surgery and is used to correct myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The LASIK procedure involves using a microkeratome or IntraLase to cut a flap into the stroma, moving the flap out of the way, removing excess corneal tissue with an excimer laser, then replacing and smoothing out the flap. LASEK is best suited for individuals with thin or flat corneas. The LASEK procedure uses a small trephine blade to cut into the shallow epithelium, after which the eye is bathed in a mild alcohol solution to soften the edges of the epithelium. The flap is gently moved out of the way so that an excimer laser can remove excess corneal tissue, after which the flap is replaced and smoothed out. Epi-LASIK, like LASEK, involves a shallow cut into the epithelium, but makes use of epikeratome to create a thin epithelium sheet for removal instead of the harsher blade and alcohol.

Photoablation, the second stage in flap procedures, makes use of ultraviolet radiation to remove excess corneal tissue. PRK, or photorefractive keratectomy, was the original laser eye surgery procedure. PRK involves numbing the eye with local anesthetic eye drops, and reshaping the cornea by destroying miniscule amounts of tissue from the surface of the eye. The laser used, an excimer laser, is a computer-controlled ultraviolet beam of light. It burns cool so as not to heat up and damage the surrounding eye tissue.

Corneal incision procedures such as radial keratotomy and arcuate keratotomy use miniscule incisions in the cornea to alter its surface and correct refractive errors. Radial keratotomy, or RK, uses a diamond tipped knife to make a number of spoke-shaped incisions in the cornea. The result of the incisions is that the cornea flattens out, minimizing the effects of myopia. Arcuate keratotomy, or AK, is very similar to RK. The diamond knife is used to cut incisions that are parallel to the edge of the cornea, as opposed to the spoke-shaped incisions of the RK procedure. These procedures have been much less common with the emergence of laser-assisted refractive eye surgeries.

Thermal procedures use heat to correct temporarily hyperopic refractive errors, or farsightedness. The thermal keratoplasty procedure involves putting a ring of 8 or 16 small burns on the eye immediately surrounding the pupil. The application of the heat increases the slope of the cornea, making it steeper, through thermal contractions. There are two main types of thermal keratoplasty. Laser Thermal Keratoplasty, or LTK, is a no-touch procedure that uses a holmium laser. Conductive Keratoplasty, or CK, uses a high-frequency electric probe.

The final type of refractive eye surgery involves the use of implants. Implantable contact lenses, or ICL, can be used to correct severe levels of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The implants are actually tiny contact lenses that are inserted through a small incision in the side of the cornea. Implants are seated so they sit immediately in front of the eye’s natural lens just behind the cornea. ICL works in conjunction with the eye’s natural lens to refocus light on the retina and produce a crystal clear image.

Each of these procedures has its advantages and disadvantages, and not all individuals are suitable candidates for refractive eye surgery. Individuals who are interested in learning more about surgical options should contact their ophthalmologist for more information about these procedures, as well as inquire about other new cutting-edge procedures. Since ophthalmologic surgery is constantly growing and changing with emergence of new technologies and methods, there are always new techniques in development.
